Exploring the Future of Adult Vaccination. This presentation provides an in-depth exploration of adult vaccination and its critical role in public health. Adult vaccination, targeting individuals aged 18 and older, is essential for preventing diseases such as influenza, pneumonia, shingles, and emerging infections like RSV and COVID-19. The discussion emphasizes the importance of vaccines in reducing outbreaks, lowering healthcare costs, and protecting vulnerable populations, such as those with chronic conditions or compromised immune systems. Despite these benefits, adult vaccination rates remain suboptimal due to barriers like misinformation, logistical challenges, and lack of awareness. The research utilized mixed methods, combining surveys and interviews with healthcare professionals, immunizers, and consumers to assess vaccination awareness, attitudes, and behaviors. Key findings identified issues such as insufficient standardization, cultural beliefs, healthcare access limitations, and vaccine hesitancy as significant obstacles to improving adult vaccination rates.
