On 14th March 2021, the Qatar Cancer Society, reached out to Qatar Care through one of their esteemed staff, Ms. May Osama (Health Educator) to discuss plans of collaboration. Both parties agreed to join the world this month of March in the campaign on Colorectal Awareness.  

 

On 31st March 2021, the Qatar Cancer Society conducted a webinar to all Qatar Care and Prime Care staff through Google Meet. It aimed to educate the participants on the continuum of cancer care and health education process, specifically on Colorectal Cancer. 

 

 

Ms. May Osama of Qatar Cancer Society served as the resource speaker of the educational activity. Moderated by Mr. Peach Dale Esloyo, MAN, director of the Education and Training Department, coordinated by Ms. Vesa Lara Malaine Raga and Ms. Normarie Lego, both CPD Committee members of Qatar Care Education and Training Department. The event was attended by more than 100 participants.

 

The activity does not only provide relevant information but also instills a better understanding of the topic which would truly help in mitigating the risk of everyone to Colorectal Cancer.

 

Qatar Care and Qatar Cancer Society are still planning to work on future projects to integrate an in-depth perception of Cancer to the community that is directed towards the advancement of the National Cancer Strategy in Qatar.
